Horacio is a pasta maker who finds the human unconscious on the road between his village and Candleton

Bigsby is a human. He's got pretty much no factual memory, but seems entirely familiar with the world into which he's been dropped. He was found clutching a branch from a rare tree that Horacio doesn't recognize.

Fugruk Backbreaker is an ogre who's brothers kicked him out of the family lands in the Everdyr mountains. He's angry, cold, and loves to kill.

Johnathan Knightly was a lieutenant in Wesley's army before the king disbanded the elvish advisory council. He deserted, because under the elves, there were many opportunities for a military man to get rich, and John is guilty of plenty of war crimes.

Peter Stark is a convicted burglar and pickpocket who was condemned to death under Wesley's administration. John acquired a new identity for Peter and got him out of prison, but has been blackmailing him all this time and forcing him to help loot and pillage.

Lyrian Silverling is an elf who's uncle served on Wesley's council and was killed recently during an assassination attempt on the king (her uncle was one of the would be assassins) She'd love any opportunity to strike back at the human king. (she also loathes swine for their role in protecting Wesley) Lyrian is a wizard.  Long, golden hair, icy blue eyes and skin like milk.

Stavian Fabulai is an ambitious cat wizard who heard of this phenomenon and gets his classmates to go along on a hunt to find these ruins. He's the kinda guy who overextends himself, and gets into trouble frequently because of it. He's fascinated with dragons, and thinks he's found an abandoned lair of one. He's a gray and black tabby with green eyes.

Charles Contreau is something of a dolt. He's a bird- looks like a dunnock. He is kind hip hoppish. Pi is his OOC themesong. a He's nice enough, but lacks horse sense. He's a yes man and a kiss up and is very easily manipulated.

Tinara Ausguard is the resident goth bitch- she's a doe. She's all sad and stuff cause her mom died and is trying to find ways to commune with her ghost. She's also a poor girl, and has caught a good deal of flack because of it. So, she studies necromancy to scare her classmates.

Syphly Twitchman is a history major, mouse. Shes majoring in artificing and divination studies, and has been included in this clique in order to help Stavian interpret whatever artifacts they find in the hills.
